About GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (GHK). GHK was first identified in human plasma and binds Cu²⁺ ions with high affinity.

The complex is characteristically blue. It is studied in coordination chemistry and in fibroblast and extracellular-matrix models, and is a common ingredient in cosmetic-science formulation research.

Common research areas

  • Copper coordination chemistry
  • Extracellular-matrix gene expression in cell culture
  • Cosmetic-science formulation research
  • Peptide–metal complex stability

Store sealed vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light and moisture. For extended storage, −20 °C is standard practice for lyophilized peptides. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

Handle all research materials using appropriate laboratory practices and personal protective equipment, in line with your institution’s safety procedures. Keep out of reach of children.

Each container is printed with a lot number (CRL-GHK-50-0915). The Certificate of Analysis for each lot reports HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity results.
